    These sophisticated rugs, highly desired by interior designers, are originally named after the small town of Oushak in west central Anatolia, Turkey, the Oushak. Influenced by Persian designs, these finely woven rugs are distinctive in both pattern and color and known for their silky, luminous wool. Characterized by angular large-scale floral elements, the colors tend to be soft and pastel. 100% handspun wool and natural dyes on a cotton foundation.

    Caucasian influenced designs, the tribal Shirvan was originated by the people of Armenia and Afghanistan. Usually distinct geometric patterns in red, gold, cream and blues, the designs often include medallions, animals and flowers. These luxurious rugs, once considered a symbol of status, were placed in churches, and palaces of the elite class. These highly aesthetic, durable rugs have been prized for their rugged authenticity and highly saturated color tones.
