    Named after a village located in west central Iran, these mostly geometric patterned rugs are characterized by an all-over or repeating pattern or a medallion layout in classic Persian design. The Artsy Farahan rug is 100% handspun wool on a cotton foundation with soft, thin wool knotted in an asymmetrical fashion. The vegetable dyed rug is also very durable and holds the viewers attention with its marked beauty.

    Named after the Iranian city of Tabriz, this rug is characterized by curvilinear patterns. They may contain a variety of patterns. However, the majority are formal and characterized by a large central medallion. The quality varies, usually with reds, blues, green and ivory predominating. However, in newer carpets, many other colors are used. The texture is usually a soft wool with a thin tight pile averaging 350 to 842 knots per square inch. 100% fine silk & wool all natural dyes on silk or cotton foundation.

    Originally woven in Persia, Turkey and Afghanistan by nomadic tribes, the main characteristics of the Turkmen (Turkoman) rug have not changed for centuries. Predominantly geometric, the Turkmen rug is distinctive, featuring specific characteristics such as the striking red to reddish-brown background and the octagonal gun motif in different variations. Constructed with 100% wool on a wool foundation.

    The Nomadic Faryab rug is named after one of the most peaceful provinces in Afghanistan. This northern area near the Turkmenistan border was where Turkoman Aryana weavers had migrated to avoid wars in Turkmenistan. While we call this a Nomadic Faryab rug, we can also distinguish it as a nomadic Turkman style rug with beautiful abrash, handspun wool and natural dyes. These rugs have bold colors and beautiful designs made for the art lover who feels connected to tribal weaves.

    Named after the master weaver from Marand, Iran during the latter quarter of the 19th century, the Haji Jalili rug is known to be among the finest carpets woven in Persia and Pakistan and Afghanistan. Known for using lighter and softer colors such as ivory, pink, wheat, gold, pale rust and grays, a Haji Jalili rug will elevate the beauty of any room. Usually woven in 250 knots per inch or greater, these designs often have brilliant floral designs with opulent central medallions or intriguing decorative patterns. 100% natural hand-spun wool.

    Originally produced in the Iranian province of Eastern Azerbaijan, the Serapi is well known for its strength and usability, due to its tight and compressed weave. These tribal designs are created from natural wool colors as well. Similar to a Heriz, they are finely woven with 120 knots or more per square inch. Made with 100% natural handspun wool.
