Originally produced in the Iranian province of Eastern Azerbaijan, the Serapi is well known for its strength and usability, due to its tight and compressed weave. These tribal designs are created from natural wool colors. Similar to a Heriz, they are somewhat coarsely woven with 80 knot per square inch. Made with 100% wool on a cotton foundation.

Named after the man Khal Mohammadi from Afghanistan, these rugs are characterized by dark, deep reds, blues and blacks. They have a Turkmen character, but with coppery-colored fields and a highly lustrous finish due to fine quality wool. With short piles and beautiful color, these rugs tend to be very warm and homey, with dark red backgrounds, tribal & floral patterns in dark blue, ochre and beige.
Bokhara rugs are tribal rugs made by nomads in Afghanistan and are commonly a deep shade of red with a repeating pattern of oval or diamond shaped motifs. They can also feature rich shades of green, rose, ivory, and grey. Made on portable wooden looms with these rugs are made with dyes from local vegetables, flowers, tree bark, minerals, and insects.
